I have just purchased my dream property with two shallow (6'-8'), one with an Artesian well , both ponds are just shy of 1 acre each. I plan to join them together adding a depth of about 20' between them. Both ponds were dry from drought in 2011 (southeast Texas) except for well area and now have a ton of algae on bottom and floating on top. Have enjoyed reading a few topics and posts and look forward to adding my own. This is my second property with ponds and enjoy the love/hate challenge of improving someone else's mistakes. Here we go again! Will post pics and tons of questions ASAP. Thanks in advance.
