George we will try to be good, but it's going to be hard. We certainly need some adult supervision.

So, we had a great lunch of very good BBQ, and the company was better. We cussed and discussed water, fish, and future plans, and I have to say some exciting things are on the way.

Got to see some old friends, and finally meet some face to face. We also got to meet Matt Rayl, and he's a sharp kid. He was very kind to me even after Dave said I looked like a homeless guy. I guess he was glad I didn't ask him for spare change.

TJ, Main Street BBQ was perfect. Smoke stained ceiling panels, and a line around the front of the "meat bar" let me know we were in for some good eats, and we weren't disappointed. I decided to forgo the salad, and had a swine heavy plate. Ribs were perfectly cooked, and not overcooked as a lot are. Pulling off the bone and falling off the bone are very different things, and they got it right.

Great lunch was had by all, and I can't wait for the next trip.

All the world's problems being solved.

Bob and George

Great pics!
Looks like a great time.
The Honorable Bob Lusk made it?
I can smell that delicious BBQ thru my laptop!
I bet there was very little room left for peach cobbler.

Wow, that looks good. Nice smoke ring on those ribs. Tell me more about those Jalapenos...I'm a chilehead, and those look incredible. Are they pickled?

AhHA! So you're not the only one who noticed the peppers?

Not sure about the peppers, but they tasted like La Costena brand to me. That's what the bulk stores sell around here in #10 cans, and they are very good off the shelf peppers. They're crispy and far better than those I have pickled out of my own garden.

Now, if y'all like poblanos, I've got a great poblano chicken enchilada recipe....

We have raised a variety of hot peppers along with other vegetables and have sold them at a farmers market for 20 years. You cannot beat pickles made from fresh peppers! We freeze a lot for cooking as well.

TJ, see www.penderys.com. I stop by about once a month. I can get lost in that little place.

As I sit here drinking coffee out my brand new Pond Boss coffee cup (thanks Bob!), it gives one time to reflect on the great community of Pond Boss forum and Magazine. There is just such great bunch of people that share their knowledge and experience. It is actually pretty amazing when you consider than most of us have never met each other face to face.

A special thanks goes out to Sunil for his unbelievable generosity in picking up the tab for everyone’s lunch. Simply amazing.

Meeting Bob Lusk and his staff (Walter and Matt) was a real treat. I really enjoyed hearing about his business and his plans for the future. The goody bag was just icing on the cake. Bob thank you for providing us the magazine and the forum!

It seemed to me that the chief topic for our gathering was the drought and the on going effects. Obvious we all are greatly concerned about the lack of rain. Some of us are experiencing some real pain.

I greatly appreciate seeing my friends David, Al, Brian and a new friend Larry. As far as our friend George, well you just need to meet the man. He is a very unique fellow and a real treasure. A man that has strong opinions and is willing to express them.

Ya’ll have heard plenty about the great food at Main Street Barbeque, so I just add that I still stuffed from those finger-licking good ribs.

When are we going to do this again?

Well.....THANK YOU LARRY..... for putting this thing together.....it's the best one yet! missed our good buddys Fatty and Rocky ... and for our beneactor - almost as good as the first time I met Sunil - "hey George - got your Shiner Bock" - thank you my friend - you were there in spirit!

Enjoyed seeing Bob and meeting his new crew and old frienships continue to grow stronger.

Larry, you just gotta understand strong opinions - how can I learn new stuff if I don't know old stuff - guess you gotta be wrong before you get it right.

You noticed the seating arrangemnet didn't you - it wasn't an accident -Lusk on one end of the table and Dave D. on the other .... with my hearing loss Bob was my interpreter and he told me what he wanted me to hear.....

You across the table kept a staight face, and Al and Brian were my backup - but like the old west gunslingers - I kept my back against the wall.

Great fun and fellowship - Bob, thanks for letting me play in your sandbox!!!!
