I agree on fishing your own water. That was the impetus behind my desire to own my own ponds.....so I wouldn't have to go anywhere else. I fished water other than my own a grand total of one time last year, and this is coming from someone who fishes quite a bit.
BUT....I have yet to see a 3-lb BG come out of any of my ponds, while I have seen photos of the ones at Richmond Mill. Having the opportunity to fish a place that has produced fish of that caliber definitely has an appeal to me.

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

Tony - I have myself and 3 others interested...would you consider fishing the crown jewel of Lusk's helm? Once in a lifetime opportunity.

TJ I would love to go...but I fear that time and finances are not on my side for a Spring trip this year.... I greatly appreciate the invite however. I'll get there someday!

Are we talking the $600 a day to fish per person? Or do PondBossers get a slight discount? Also @ $600 per day I assume you plan to fish only one day? Are you going to stay on-site?
Fishing has never been about the fish....

Yeah, I have done the wet and cold thing I've gone surfcasting on Thanksgiving day in blowing snow on Long Island. Never did any fishing from a boat though to reach the really big fish, though. I guess I need better friends, lol.

I could be in for Richmond Mills trip if that's what you're talking about.
I guess I'd better check to see if they allow live bait!!

Funny -- I was planning my annual Canadian fishing trip with my brother and started a favorites folder called "Fishing Bucket List". I'm partial to Canada so this is what I have: Walleye: Budd's Gunisao Lake Lodge (Manitoba) Pike: Gangler' Lodges and Outpost (Saskatchewan) Lake Trout & Pike: Lakers Unlimited on Lake Athabaska (Saskatchewan) Smallies: Hawk Lake Lodge (Ontario) Would also like to visit Tetu Island Lodge (Ontario), Talston Bay Big Pike Lodge (Great Slave Lake NWT), Plummers Arctic Lodges (NWT). Gonna be going to Eagle Nest Lodge on the Winnipeg River in Manitoba in late May and Silver Water Wheel Lodge on Lac Seul in early September, knocking two more off of my list... Still want to do an inshore/offshore trip to Venice, Louisiana, and my dream trip -- hopefully for my 50th birthday in a few years -- is this: http://www.tugboatcruise.com/I've got another dozen or so more in Ontario, Manitoba and Sakatchewan. Doing the research is half the fun...
Carl Spackler: "This place got a pool?" Ty Webb: "Pool and a pond. Pond would be good for you..."

Zep I'm sorry I just saw this post! I'm working with KFS/Lusk on package pricing. Stay tuned for details.

My 2 are my extremes. I want to hit ontario in the spring, fall and winter...ice fishing for pike & monster WE, and open water for muskie the size of a canoe.
The second is puerto rico. My friend nathan lived there, and claims that there is nothing more gripping than fly fishing the channels for little Tarpon and using giant plugs for peacock bass, afterwards you go out and hit the open areas for the big tarpon...
In both cases the scenery is nearly as important as the size and catch rate. Puerto Rico is obviously beautiful, but the places i have been in ontario on business are equally so, heavily wooded and quiet...I didnt get the chance to fish, though.

Trying to help with 7.5 Acres in the Chain of Lakes Illinois - - The fish would stay out of trouble if it could just keep its fool mouth shut. Turns out there is a lot I should be learning from the fish.
