All:
Sorry for posting this in wildlife, I couldn't figure out how to post a new topic in ANNOUNCEMENTS....
On second thought, WILDLIFE is the perfect forum when talking about our Biologist Extraordinaire, Travis.
Unfortunately, Travis' father-in-law passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday. Please keep Travis and Sarah in your prayers this week.
I will post more info as it becomes available.
Warmest regards to all, Paul

My sincerest condolences. That's tough. Travis, handle your family business and know you're in our thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for sharing this with us Paul.

Sorry for your loss. This sure is a tuff time Travis and may god be with you. I lost my father-in-law in 2010 and it still hurts. Especially this time of year as we would hunt together on their land.
Prayers sent from Oklahoma.

Sorry to hear, Travis. Stay strong for the family.
Someone once advised me that all you can do is "just be there."
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

UPDATE:
Travis father-in-law, Bill, played golf on Monday morning. He came home and started experiencing tightness in his chest. He went to the local hospital and they determined they needed to transfer him to a larger medical center in Myrtle Beach. He coded enroute. He was 54.
Services will be this weekend. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the American Heart Association. Once I have all the info, I will post it here.

So sorry to hear this Travis. Too young! Same age as me!

Thank you all for the warm wishes and keeping us in your prayers. I was lucky that I had a father-in-law who was much like a second father to me. Pond Boss is a great family, we may not always agree on how a pond should be managed or the ID of a fish, but we all come together for each other during tough times. Thank you all again... Travis

Our condolences to you and your family also. Be strong and caring for your family always. And your father-in-law was lucky to have you as family also.
Pass his wisdom and love for family down to his grandkids. I'm sure he would love that honor.

Travis, you and Sarah are in my thoughts and prayers.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
