Good question. I seen a white tilapia hanging out near them. I assumed they were tilapia because they were identical to that tilapia in color. Do they appear to be something else?

They have been in there about 4-5 weeks. Sizes varied, all were at least in the 4-6 inch range minimum, all were really nice looking fish. Stocked 50 lbs. in @ 1.25 acre pond. They are spawning like crazy! The white ones seem to be a little more active at the FA I had than the blue ones. It's all but gone now.

I've never had them so I was just asking.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
I have a lot of GS fry also, but these guys looked albino just like some of the tilapia. I was so frustrated with the FA I would have tried anything, so I got the tilapia. I would like to see how the yellow perch you raise would fair on the TP fry. We don't have those here, that I know of. With your expertise in raising large fish it would be interesting to see what size TP you could grow.

Not sure it's really expertise but thanks for the kind words. I think it's just a matter of keeping the numbers down, having good stock, and feeding them, although I only feed my large fish once a day vs. many who feed twice a day.
With the appetites tilapia have I'm sure they could get big. Only problem here is the short growing season.

You think only feeding once a day is better for the bigger fish? What growth rates do you expect from LMB?
