I found a several of these in a small clump of coontail I pulled out of the water this weekend, these little buggers blend into the coontail quite well.

You either had good eyes or lots of time to look to find those tiny green larvae!

Good eyes Theo, actually I was just pulling a small floating clump out of the water next to the dock so it would not propagate itself, the dang geese have been tearing up the weeds lately. Anyway, I spot checked it for insects and snails and saw something moving, then I found another one on this softball size clump of coontail, both were near the growing tips of the coontail. I tried to take a decent picture but my cell phone does lousy close ups. Anywho, free fish food for the BG.
