RC51, it was relatively easy sorting 10# of FHM from the fish truck. - I only got 8# but paid for 10#......... + Yeah I can see that kind of stuff going on anywhere from a truck if your not careful or unless you got a great guy like Rainman helping you out!! That's why I did not get minnows from them. It was'nt to hard looking at 75 CNBG and 50 RES and mine all looked pretty good at the time. Maybe for once I just got lucky!!! From now on though all my stuff gets bought at the fisheries in spring or fall. I have to nice ones here not to far away from me. Hopper Stevens and Keo's fish farm have been pretty good to me!! Corey-hap, Keo and Hopper are two of the best hatcheries there are! I use them regularly and was there twice last week. Also in Cabbot washing out tanks...lol

We got FHM, 100 RES and 25 LMB from a Farley's Truck. Wish I could say we got the right or wrong thing...but the only thing we've actually seen since the fish went in are three dead ones....

Prior to this Topic being posted, I bought 20 lbs of FHM. in my ignorance, i just acclimated them and then put them in the water.
I have also bout 250K golden shiner fry from Andersons, and I believe i got what i paid for from them.
I have not put any CNBG or predator fish. I am going to wait till Bob has time to come help me. I am planning on putting in different sized fish and pellet trained bass, as well as hybrid bass.
Thanks for all the advice.

Dustin...don't be so hard on yourself amigo. Just because I had a bad experience with contamination doesn't mean you did too...take heart, hope for the best, know you're in good company learning as you go!
Worst case scenario you might have had some BG or BH stocked. If you're planning on BG already, no biggie. Since you're in TX, I'm assuming you'll be stocking LMB at some point, and BH won't likely cause a problem in a fishery with LMB present...they are one of their favorite treats, after all.
