Hi all. I feed my bass off of my dock each spring and summer. Not every day, but every few days when we are out there. These bass were raised on feed until reaching 1 to 3 pounds at which time I purchased them . The coppernose bluegill also love the feed. It is funny to see, when I pull up in my truck, you can actually see the fish approaching the dock. The bass hit the feed just like they are attacking a live bait. There have been two fish around 5 pounds caught this spring. I think of them as pets now. I have more fun feeding than catching(almost). I was told that feeding the bass could add an additional pound of weight a year to a bass that normally gains about a pound a year. I won't get this much gain because my feeding is not daily. They are gaining weight quickly though. This doesn't seem to tame the bass, as I catch them all over the pond( 7 acres). When the water is clear, it is fun to just sit on the dock and watch 3 to 5 pound bass lumber by.

I would invest in a feeder and feed them a couple of times a day. Sounds like you have the potential to grow some lunkers! I think it takes a bass about 10 lbs. of forage fish to gain one pound of weigh versus about 2 lbs. of a quality feed.
