How big can one grow bluegill in the Midwest, specifically Minnesota? If it's possible how long does it take to get a 1 pound fish? It would be fun to here from others on how big they've managed to grow them. I've got some hybrids that are 3 years old right now this spring. They average size is around 8 ounces and the largest are 12 ounces. I'm trying to decide if I should harvest them or wait another year to see if I can get bigger.
