Hey, gang, just dropped in for a bit to say hello. It's been too darn long since I've been able to check in on the forum thanks to what has been one of the busiest stretches of my professional life. I'm thankful that my business has been so blessed, but it has made killing time on the Internet a near impossibility! It's been fun this evening catching up a bit and hearing what is going on in the pond world and around. Ken, cool story about your tractor tires! Cecil, seriously, just because there's no ice to fall through this year doesn't mean you need to start a fire in the house! Travis, call me if you need representation before the police civil service commission on that chupacabra administrative suspension! JHAP, I'm not even going to talk about your pants being on fire. It's just too easy! Bruce, I'm confident you could have made that 81 pound striper look like it was over 150!
Anyway, hope everybody is doing great!

Good to have you back, Todd. Just when you get busy I started having a little time to post.
I am further grateful to be left out of your forum member observations. That's what one gets for keeping on the straight and narrow and being such a regular guy. Whew.

Well, I was going to comment on the way your big pond's shape is reminiscent of a floppy sombrero, but then I figured "why stir things up for ole' TJ!"

Todd -- I've been thinking about you. I figure you've been really busy. We too have been, so I haven't even tried to call. We are in "meltdown" mode this morning.
Dwight -- I think your Cheech-look would catch even more attention.

JKB thanks for the thoughtful comment. I have been practicing for 32 years and never represented a criminal.

It's all good, guys! Josh, thanks for sending out the search party!
Yeah, we do handle stuff besides ALLEGED criminals, but those poor citizens also deserve a good lawyer at their side. It's funny, because I get a lot of flack from people at times for handling criminal cases, but I usually just reply that the attitude they are displaying towards the whole concept of criminal defense is the very reason that I do what I do - the system only works when every part is handled fairly and according to the law.
In any event, I have really missed being around as much and it's been great to get caught up. Dwight - I figured to mention you, but then realized there's just too doggone much one could say for one post! How about this one, though - really great videos from Bremer Pond!
You guys are the best!

Sorry for ribbing on you Todd... Didn't mean to hurt peoples feelings. I know lawyers can have thin skin sometimes. ;-)

Hey, T, no hurt feelings here, buddy! My skin is waaaay to thick for that (go ahead everyone, insert your favorite fat bald guy joke here! ). I know a few thin skinned lawyers. They spend their entire days in the records room at the courthouse doing title searches and never, ever litigate!

Just curious, do you have to shave it every day?

Just curious, do you have to shave it every day? If I want to maintain baby-butt smoothness, yes! That's not a huge priority for me, though, so I usually shave every 2 or 3 days. Otherwise, I start to look like a baby bird before they get their real feathers!

You would look more cerebral if you grew full hair, neck up. Just look what it has done for Sunil and myself!

I know that Todd is not thin skinned. I've watched him wielding sharp knives to clean deer and filet fish. If he didn't have such thick skin he'd run out of blood quickly.

You would look more cerebral if you grew full hair, neck up. Just look what it has done for Sunil and myself! Ha! I've often thought that I should get a head tattoo. I've been thinking of a zipper that starts at the base of my skull and then comes up the center line and opens wide just above my forehead, terminating at the temple on each side. Inside the unzipped portion would be my brains. Fun idea, but I think I'd have to give up law and enter into a serious counterculture lifestyle following bands like Korn and Slipknot. I don't think it would be as profitable as my current venture, though, and I'm not into heroin and the like, so I'll probably just stick with being bald!
