I have a friend that has a patented invention for fish farmers. Aparently, since fish are not made to eat dry food, they gain more weight when the air is sucked out and substituted with water right before it is delivered to the cages. Not practical for us small pond owners, but I just thought I would throw this piece of information out there. These experiments were done on Salmon and Cod farms by the Norwegian gov.
