Hello, I am looking for some private fishing resorts or spots in the midwest to fish in the Spring. I found http://www.hbpondmanagement.com/guided.htm in IL that offers some charters on their ponds. Was curious if anyone knew of any private or good fishing lakes/ponds that are rented out for a day or two for catch and release fishing? I have been to a place in Ohio that offers something like this and was curious if there are other places similiar? Looking to catch LM bass and stripers . Thanks for the time! Wish I had my own pond to fish!

Nate is a great guy. Also, check out Richmond Mills. http://kingfishersociety.com/fishing.html

I fully agree with Scott (ESSHUP). You won't find a better family to work with than the Herman Brothers. Not only will they get you to some incredible fishing experiences, the whole family is just fun to know, from Nate's kids to his grandmother. And, as Scott mentioned, think hard about the King Fisher Society. It is not in the midwest, but Bob Lusk has built an incredible fishery, and everything I know about the place is first class. You might also contact Bob Lusk pondboss@texoma.net directly and get his suggestions. Hopefully, some of our other mid-west friends will make some suggestions.

I was in touch with Brian this afternoon via email. Thanks guys for the kind words and Catmandoo I'm still waiting for you and the Mrs to stroll through town!
Next spring has me booked up solid already, but one thing I did not mention to Brian was that this winter I actually am gonna be taking quite a few guided ice fishing trips. Stripers still have me kind of stumped for ice fishing, but I started to pick up a few here and there last year and have been plotting my striper attack for this winter all summer long. My goal is to catch them consistently through the ice!!!

I saw this place on a fishing show this weekend, if only it was in the Midwest...although it would not have 16lbs bass in the midwest:
Sounds like a nice setup and not bad on the price when you consider all meals/guide etc..and the chance to catch a huge LM
