OP B Eckels Junior Member B Joined: May 2007 Posts: 2 Illinois	Hello-new to the website-and obviously pond construction. Hubby and I are looking to build a 2-3 acre lake on property we are buying. Ive searched the web to try and find a dirt contractor after reading Mike Otto's articles about pond construction. How does one go about finding a quality contractor to build the pond? I have a million other questions but I dont want to overwhelm the website..lol. Property is in Randolph County, Illinois. Thanks for any and all assistance!

However, they don't cull out the bad ones. That's up to you. And, there are some bad ones. Talk to them and CHECK REFERENCES. It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color. Without a sense of urgency, Nothing ever gets done.
