Hello, new here. Getting ready to build a huge pond for our ducks. Anyone have Rouens or Pekins in their ponds? Rouens are large Mallards, I have a pair, and a large white Pekin female.

A neighbor had a pair of Pekins in his 1/4 ac pond. They were constantly dabbling in the bank right at the water level, and consequently the bank was eroding. His water was constantly muddy too from just 1 pair of ducks. He ended up getting rid of them and his water quality improved.
How large of a pond? I had a pair of Mandarins and a pair of Woodies in my backyard, and there was a 12' dia lined pond with a bottom drain. I didn't have any fish in the pond, just a 3' dia clump of water hyacinths that I had to protect with a floating chicken wire cage. I had to drain and refill the pond on a monthly basis to keep the water somewhat clean. The pond was about 24" deep in the center.
