I know I have read it but I can't find it
I have some large hollow logs to Use for cat beds
What I can't remember is do I set the opening
facing the dam or the in coming flow

When I was researching it I saw where they said to place the opening facing the deeper water. I don't remember seeing anything related to water flow.

I'll go out on a limb here and say most beneficial would be between 5-10'..


I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease..

I don't know if there will be enough O2 at 10', plus you've gotta look at water temp.

Not sure how they spawn in ponds, but when we fish the lakes around here during spawn we catch most of them in 1-5 foot of water.

But that may also depend on your structure and other make up on the pond.
