Here is a picture of what I'm facing;

I sprayed some cutrine plus and weedtrine the other day on this and it seemed to help, granted my sprayer acted up so I'm not sure I got the best coverage. I do think the algae/moss underwater has improved, but the the surface is back to looking like crap. We had an 1 1/2 inches of rain on Sunday and I thought it would help clear it up, but it came right back. Did I not do something right the first time or do I need to do something different?

Also as you can see I'm losing about 2 inches of water per day on the hot days (95+), which I would assume is normal.

On another note I had to trim around the pond and it is impossible to keep the cuttings all out of the pond. I tried raking them up, but you never get everything. Is that contributing to the problem?

So any help would be appreciated

Is the pond scum still on the pond?
Circulating the water will help keep that stuff from forming on the still hot days.

Other things that can deter the scum are wave action, spraying the film with water (pressure hose), creating waves using a boat motor, rain events; all things that break the water's surface tension during warm/hot weather. Another thing to rid the film is spraying it with peroxygen carbonate (Green Clean, Phycomycin or Pak 27). These materials oxydize and break down the organics in and creating the film.

The rain we got this week took care of it, but starting to come back today. I'll need to work something out to move the water. May néed to aerate sooner than I hoped.
