Shorty, that photo is stock-quality. You should sell the image to a nature photo website.

Sunil, the old man took that picture on Sunday so I can't take credit for it, I did however crop it down a little bit. Did you notice the small snails in the water on the rocks just waiting for a RES to come by? \:\)

Bobad, after salvaging BG last night I talked with my folks about the bullfrogs. My mom said a few years ago while she mowing around the pond she saw a bullfrog take down and kill a robin. She didn't stick around long enough though to see whether or not the BF actually ate the robin, but she was absolutly postive the robin didn't make it.

That is a great photo Shorty.

I had a chorus of Bull Frogs last year until a small brown Heron showed up. Dang that bird was a hunting fool. He would slowly and deliberately patrol the shore line. He reduced my bull frog population big time. But I'm happy to report that the frog population has rebounded.

I think I'd be careful about posting photos like that. Looks like those pictures could lead to a child-endangerment conviction! grin

Dem's some big frogs!

No eggs. All fed USDA prime crawfish! The have been eating all summer and we finally got a chance to go get em. We were a little late but we managed to get 15 of these monsters in about an hour last night and we just caught 6 more a little while ago.

The feasting starts tomorrow!
