Our plan to get out fishing this week was a rain out. I suppose we could have got out in this wind for a while this afternoon, but rods and reels are packed. I would like to fish that high water.

Good morning Dave, I've checked the ships systems, and everything appears to be running normally.

How highs the water Mama?
Well, it's 6 ft. high and rising.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

stick, if you fish the high water, a lot of fish move up into the 'new' areas and hang near structure or high grass.

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

That is a fact alluded to in my comment to JHAP, "Since the water is on the banks in the prairie grasses fish are up in there too enjoying new (to them) delectable critters".

Always fish the vegetation areas that are recently covered by high water events. The fish aren't always there but they are more times than not.

The thinking about was 1/3 of the fun. The building it and seeing that it actually worked was the second third. The longest lasting highest fun factor third is the using. smile

The depth tube is at 42 inches today meaning we can actually walk on to the dock without getting wet feet. This is good!! The drop from the high of 59 inches to the current 42 inches took 15 days.

Pictures? I like your new avatar with the rotating pictures. Looks like the guy in the gray tank top knows what he's doing!
