I have a 1/2 acre pond with LMB,BG and crappie. The bass are very healthy(13 inch bass weighed 1.6 lb.). The crappie are small, the big ones are 8 to 9 inches long and weigh about 2-3 ounces. Do I need to take these crappie out? I think they are overpopulated but unsure.

Most of them are underweight. The population of crappie have been in the pond for about 10 years.

Most likely the crappie are overcrowded. What is the goal?

To have a small population of big crappie, have medium sized healthy bass, healthy bluegill that have sucessfull spawns(for bass to have forage) hopefully I will stock some catfish 11 inches soon.
