Do hybrid bluegills spawn?

Yes they do but 90 to 95% are male so reproduction is limited. This is why hybrids have little value as forage for bass. I have stocked both hybrids (Georgia Giants) and coppernose. The offspring of hybrids are not pure hybrids and will revert back to the parents over time.

Well said. The offspring do in fact revert back to their parental genes and actually tend to revert back to green sunfish. Green sunfish are notorious for being destructive to your lake. They have very big mouths realitive to their body size and can compete directly for food for your bass. If you look at all the ads for hybrids removal and restocking is always recomended. I am no expert on these perch as i do not raise or sell them. Please take this as only my opinion.
