Northeastern Indiana.
I will probably melt again as it's supposed to get back up into the 40's in a few days.
How about yours?
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Nothing on mine this morning, though it was cold enough that standing puddles around the farm were frozen. Supposed to be another cold one tonight. We've had a few days with a pretty decent wind, so I'm guessing there has been to much water movement on our ponds to permit freezing.

Saw that post, Dwight. That's pretty amazing that you've got so much already! Seems like you just had total ice out less than 3 months ago!

Been seeing a skim the last several days, but afternoon temps keep melting it. I sank 6 Porcupine attractors with decoys marking them finally this year and can't wait for first ice, lower the aquaview and hopefully see loads of hog YP crusing!

Half the pond was skimmed over this morning. It's supposed to be pushing 60° on Monday.

Ours froze nearly over for the first time last night. It seems kind of early. We had snow flakes on and off most of yesterday.

Cecil, the way things are going, I'd be suprised if the ponds are at full pool by next Spring. We're almost 8" below normal for precip. just since August.

My water temp is still hovering around 60F. We had dipped down to an air temp of 24F on Saturday morning.

Saw that post, Dwight. That's pretty amazing that you've got so much already! Seems like you just had total ice out less than 3 months ago! Last winter we had ice for three months. That is about the norm. I brought the Barge Cam up to the office for its semi-annual cleaning. This is a snap shot from the Barge Cam looking out the west window of the office. Not a nice day in the neighborhood!

Yeh, but you will never experience the thrill of ice fishing living down there
Good morning Dave, I've checked the ships systems, and everything appears to be running normally.

We used to get some pretty good ice overs in Oklahoma as we used to ride our ATV's on some ponds. I wish I would have tried to fish a little then.
Not sure what our temps are but I am guessing the water to be in the 40's.
Anyone else in my neck of the woods that have actually checked temps?

Well, our cold-ish temps have led to both of our ponds being totally frozen. The ice is thin - less than an inch - but both are totally frozen. I'm not convinced they'll stay this way, though the next week has generally chilly temps in our forecast. Nothing like you crazies in the upper midwest, mind you, but way more manly than, say, Florida's temps!
