Ok I am fixing to go out to the land tomorrow and install / run electrical for my areation system. I have a EcoPlus air pump and I just bought 75 feet of self weighted tubing from Ted Lea at www.cleanponds.com. Best prices on tubing that I could find and a very helpful guy I might add! I don't have a fuser yet but I am going to try and get everything else setup tomorrow so I am ready when I do get one. I will take a few pics as I go. Does anyone know of any good double station diffusers in the 3 to 6 cfm range? My pump has a max CFM of 7 but me and a couple of other guys can't seem to find a CFM chart on this pump so I figure if I can find a diffuser station in the 3 to 6 cfm range I would be covered.
Thanks,
The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!
I did call him first but I can't use his diffusers as they only put out 2.5 cfm max per dual air station and we have to assume my pump puts out more CFM than that as we cant find a cfm chart on it and the max CFM on the pump is 7 so I would have to buy his 4 station diffuser and hope that it works which it more than likely would but that's kind of an over kill for my 3/4 acre pond isn't it? Not to mention more money then the dual station. So I was wanting to find a dual station with more of a CFM low to high range is all.

That's good to know. I didn't know the diffusers took that little of an air supply to work.
If you still can't find a diffuser to work, could you "T" in to the line, and put a shutoff with a reducer in it to vent off some of the excess air? You might have to muffle it.....
Yeah if need be i believe I could do that. I got the electrical ran and installed today but it was brutal outsdie at 101 degrees and 84 percent humidity! So i did not get as much done as i wanted but I do have a post and electrical at the pond and working so the hard part is over!! I am still waiting on my weighted hose from Ted and I am going to keep looking around for a fuser yet. Surely I can find a dual with a little higher CFM range. Thanks Esshup for your help!
The picture below is the end result. Not a very exciting picture and I think I got my pvc a little off center But at 101 degrees I was lucky to have even got it on there at all

Congrats on getting that done, RC! I'm envious and definitely chomping at the bit to get my electric run into my place. It's sitting there at the road just waiting on me . . .
Hey thanks Todd. Yeah getting electric to your land is a rather big pain, even if you have it out by the road! At least it was one of the bigger projects I had ever done. Except we went underground so there was a lot more prep work to be done. It's worth it though to go out to your land / pond and have the ability to plug it! I am pretty happy about it!
Thanks,

The supplier I used for the diffuser discs has a High Capacity model for $16.
Here are the stats from that disc Model: 9" High Capacity Peak Airflow: scfm 10.0 m3N/h 15.8 Design Airflow: scfm 1.0-8.0 m3N/h 1.7-13.6 Diffuser Diameter: in 10.9 mm 276.8 Active Surface Area: ft2 0.4 cm2 381 Unit List Price: $16.00 Stocked: Yes
Note - design airflow is 1-8SCFM per disc. So you could build your own with 2 discs and less than $20 worth of PVC plumbing.
Zip-tie it to a concrete block and your in business.
I looked at quite a few linear pump performance charts and they almost all loose about 20% of rated CFM for the first 5 feet of depth and 60% at 10 feet...
101 degrees and 84% humidity!!! It gets hot at our place (highest temp we have recorded there was 107) but the humidity is very low in the summer.

Thanks,
One of the covenants at our place is that we have to bury all of our utilities, which is fine by me, but it certainly seems to add a layer of effort and expense. No worries, though, as I'd much rather NOT see any of the cables, lines, pipes, etc. while I'm enjoying nature. Can't wait to get the electric in - only about 400 or 500 feet so nothing like your situation was!
Yeah I don't have eveything together just yet. And yes I have read all the stuff on start up in this section. I think i read it all twice thanks for asking though. My pond is so old I plan on doing the 15 minutes, and then the 30 minutes and 1 hour, 2 hour thing as best that I can. I don't live at my pond but I am going to take a couple of days off with a weekend to get it going right.
Thanks everyone!
