I wish Google Earth earth would update their maps.The one of my place is nearly 3 years old. I redug and deepend my pond over the past 2 years and Google still shows my old pond.

If you try bing try the added feature they have called "bird's eye." When you zoom in on your location click the "Aerial" button in the top left corner. The drop down menu that emerges will show you the Bird's eye option. Although I wasn't overly impressed with bing maps, the Bird's eye option has some newer photos. They are a lot more clear, too.

go to mapquest they have newer maps at least in my area here in Texas.

We've lived in our house for a little over 5 years,and the view of my pond from google earth just show's the pond and what looks to be a future building site. But the pic was from like 97 I think,our house was built right before we moved in.
You can request satellite pics of your house somewhere online for $$

I live 20 miles from nowhere. It kinda works out well for me because it keeps people from spying. Almost makes my little piece of heaven an East Texas "Area 51."
