I copied a bunch of prior pics to start this thread on CNBG id. Here are some prior threads with text. There will be an article on CNBG vs BG in the next PB mag - order yours now.

The photos above are Richmond Mill bluegill. The one of Bob is from last October, the others of Bruce are from last weekend.

Below are photos of Aaron Matos' bluegill in Phoenix, shot in February.

Permit me one qualifier.
When we stocked Richmond Mill Lake, I chose to stock some pure coppernose bluegill, some pure strains of natives and very likely some where intergrades of both strains.
While some of the photos above are definitely coppernose bluegill, some of them are likely crosses between natives and coppernose. So, don't assume all these fish are straight coppernose.
Those with brilliant copper-colored tails and the vivid copper band across their noses are definitely coppernose.
But, those with copperish-yellow dorsal fins may not be pure coppernose.

Thanks Bob for the qualification.
A couple of those fish just didn't look quite right for pure CNBG - but I would have never questioned the Boss ...

Lets edit the thread to mark the ones that you guys think are not pure CNBG. Some of the RM fish look different than any BG I have seen (local variation). Also a couple others may not be pure. If Bob or George or Bruce see the fish in person and provide a pic they have better info than any poster.
