That trap is old - owned by my 60 year old relative's father. The trap may be 50-60 years old and much used. Still works though.

Nice tree cutter. I use a .22. I just received great news. I will get to be the mitigation site for a 2 acre forested wetland. I talked to the folks who will design the wetland and they are great. They really want to produce good wildlife habitat. The next step is a survey. I'll post as things progress.

ewest, if it's a 330, they were introduced in the mid to late 60's. You could boil them in walnut husks, or dip them in speed dip. That will help limit the rust. Whatever you do DON'T wax 'em. I did that to a bunch of 110's after I dipped them, and had to get the wax off of the dog and the trigger. They wanted to go off by themselves, or with any slight jar, usually snapping shut before I could get them in place.

You're right on the wax esshup. I always dipped mine while set holding them by the trigger side. They're faster when they're waxed. I like to take care of my traps & the rust dammaged hides.

RW Armstrong will be the company designing this wetland. I did purchase plants from J.F. New for another project that I funded out of my own pocket. They provided high quality plants but made last-minute substitutions. I ordered my last batch of plants from Spence. The plants were not as big, but they provided evrything that they said they would, and the plant survival was excellent.

I bought plants from J.F. New, and seeds from Spencer. I'll know for sure this year which ones had the best survival rate. I know that J.F. New buys some of it's seeds that it resells from Spencer.
