that's what I said to the wife, who blurted out that I was getting fat yesterday. I had always been skinny early on,, trying to play FB. Now the years, and more laid back lifestyle, eating too much of my own cooking has gotten me, as I told her.
"My torso is becoming more horizontally robust", my new description in this touchy, feely society. Any more 'politically correct' terms to describe this and other non-flattering adjectives?

burger, the correct way to justify any excess weight around your waiste is to explain that the extra pounds are your life insurance policy should you ever be stranded on an island.

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

I started a new get in shape program 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I have lost 13 pounds and have not a had a single beer in those two weeks. I am still a big chub, though.

We appreciate the sacrifice.

That's like Sunil not having a beer in the last two hours.

I did not have a beer or drink between Jan. 4 '10 and this past Friday.

I was toying with the idea of life insurance and was preparing for a physical. Now I'm shopping rates around so I'm back on the suds.

That is high praise coming from the most adorable small fathead!

Hopefully no one gets the wrong idea.

Hey, you guys are hijacking my thread.
Need to come up with politically correct terms for 'big chub' and 'small fathead'.

Burger,

If you were a fish, how would your relative weight compare to a Condello Bluegill?

Don't think this is too risky. I have always heard the gut is to be looked at as "your shed protetcing your most prized posesion".

13 lbs in two weeks? Wow, that is great. I'm staying the same, sort of, with this personal training, they told me to stay off the scale, I guess muscle weighs more. I have lost one inch and 2 lbs, have one more to inch to go. The goal is to be strong, have muscles to support the bones of an aging woman. I have to do this pretty much forever to avoid back injuries. So far so good.
