Just a note to let you folks know that my new pond has provided my first fish dinner! I stocked my 12 acre pond on april 1 with 1-3inch fingerlings and on Saturday I cleaned 6 14 inch channel cats! They were delicious! I sure love my pond!

I stocked mine the end of February and we are catching cats up to 16 inches now. Plan on doing the same over the weekend. Nothing beats catfish dipped in Beer Batter and deep fried to a golden brown! Bob

I wish I had a deep fryer... or 16 inch 'cats for that matter.

Worst thing is that I have to go to the next county over from mine to get the beer. I live in a dry county! Bob

No way!!! No beer!!! Wow! That makes not having a deep frier seem like a VERY minor inconvenience.

No beer? Have to travel for it? I guess that is why God made 3/4 ton pickups with long, wide beds.

We have been catching 16" channels the last 2 weekends also. Stocked Jan. 31 this year. They sure are good.
Bob, like you I live in a dry county and have to plan accordingly. Since I work primarily in another county I don't go home without the necessary stops first.
