Greetings fellow PondBoss meisters and Happy New Year. I've been goobered with too many non-pond matters of late.
This year I want to build a dock at our pond. I want it simple and long lasting. Currently i am leaning toward a floating one, mostly because my water level changes so much across the year.
Any words of wisdom, resource info, links to other PB forum postings, or www are appreciated.
I will probably do the work myself. TIA.

Rick, there have been a few threads about building a floating dock. Here's TJ's DIY Floating Dock thread you might find helpful.

I'd like to build a floating dock as well. Here's a link to another great floating dock thread by Captain1. "Great floating Dock Plans pics"

Thanks JHAP, I don't think I had seen that thread by Captain1. Really like what he did with that.

Rick here is a pic of my dock I built this last summer. Not fancy but does the trick. We used 30 gallon barrels. It works fine but if I have to do it again I would make the T part a bit longer for better support for us guys a bit over weight :). My T is 40 inches wide and 10 feet long. I would either double my width to 80 inches or make it l4 feet long with extra barrelsif I had to do it again.

The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!
