I don't know a whole lot about these fish, but was just thinking if they could be stalked and reproduce in a pond. they seem to be very hardy, much more so than shad or shinners and get fairly good size (6-7 inches at the largest). anyone stock, if stocked right are they self sustaining?

Black Salties will grow large enough so that the majority of the fish in the food chain will not be able to use them for forage. Shiners and Fatheads are a much better option.
