lol!!! We just found out that flounder really like Stubby Steve's! A friend went fishing at Myrtle Beach and took a bunch of SS with him to test out in the ocean. His father had been fishing for 3 days and hadn't caught anything. J.T. shows up with SS and goes out on the dock... within 5 casts, he had a nice flounder! Caught another one the next day and then fell off the dock and cut his leg.... 20 stitches later, he's too sore to do anymore fishing. We told him he's been demoted as official tester!

Ha, that's good stuff. Not the falling off the dock and getting cut, but the catching a flounder on your product.

Only fish I caught last week. Awesome job James! (Reminder: hold your kill up close to the camera with your arms fully extended!)

Stacy, we're trying out your lure tonight! And I've given samples to 3 coworkers who are avid anglers as well and I've told them to let me know how they work. May take a bit, though. One wants to try it icefishing.

Fishing for crappie I caught this freshwater drum on Stubby Steve's. Made some weird noises. Had never caught one before.

They "croak" in a low pitch something similar to a timpani drum. Good fighters. We have an abundance in Tex. reservoirs. Very bony.

Thought I lost him on a couple occasions close to the bank. Are they good to eat? I have him in a tank here at home. My kid's at his grandma's tonight and I want to show him since he's never seen one.

I have personally never eaten one. I do know they are very bony. Trash fish. I suppose one could pressure cook them similar to carp and with a lot of seasoning and hot sauce they may be edible.

If they taste anything like their saltwater cousins the Red drum and croaker, I'd give them a try! They aren't native to the eastern drainages so I have never caught one. Would love to get my hands on a few, but I guess there is no hatchery market for them...

Sheephead or freshwater drum are trash fish at least in Lake Erie. They can be fun to catch though...

Nate,
You and your brother worry me. Nobody should be allowed to have that much legal fun. (Do you guys need an old gray bearded mentor to accompany you?)

Cut & paste any one of the links, or go to edit your original thread. Then put immediately after the link, and it should appear.

Great looking fish maas. Looks like you had a nice summer. I think that's a blue cat and looks like a pretty big one to me. Nice job.

brutal, sorry guys. on the other thread about posting pictures says to paste it into the message box and delete the IMG code. I'll have to try and fix it If you copy/paste directly from Photobucket into the message box, the IMG code is included. If you use the "Full Reply" screen and click the link to post a picture first, it will double up on the IMG code. One set of IMG brackets will appear before and after the picture unless you remove one set of each code----it will still display the picture though. The easiest way using photbucket is to copy the proper code for this forum ([IMG]) and paste it directly into the message box. There is no need to click the "Add a Picture" link.
