I agree with the golf glove comment. That is a friend of ours that caught a ton of bass (75-100)in a couple of evenings. Apparently, his thumb was raw.

My 6 yr old son always kisses, like Jimmy Houston, the bass before he releases them. Therefore, my wife can always tell how good the fishing has been by the smell of fish on his breath and the lack of skin on my thumb!

I have no experience with feeders. In fact the only feeders I've ever actually watched work were at the Lusk Lodge 2. BTW, he feeds LMB with some huge pellets. It is absolutely amazing to watch LMB hammer those pellets. They jump completely out of the water when hitting a pellet just like is was live prey.

Do all feeders drop feed onto a spinning plate to fling the feed? Perhaps designing a completely different approach. I'll bet Theo could design one and Dwight could build it.

Dwight is quite interested in this concept, as he feels it would be a great aid in putting weight on Darlene. We actually ran some breadboard trials, using The Stick as an operator. For some reason, he forgot to let go of the Largemouth pellets while he was in mid-trajectory over Bremer Pond (and after I spent minutes on the calculations and I was quite explicit with instructions! ). The cats got it all after he landed on the far side.

Great looking fish. I like the way y'all held them. Did you release?

Absolutely! We release all of the big broods. Depending on the time of year and/or situation, we may release them into a different pond. Propagation is a lot cheaper than buying!

We try to control our genetics. Therefore, we work to keep the same genetic mix (florida:northern) in certain ponds.
