DANG VARMITS! I put out a decoy heron and I haven't seen one since! That worked. There was some other smaller bird with a red neck that I chased around before it flew away never to return. I'm SURE all that sqawking included some FOWL language (get it?)
But the OTTERS are the worst! Monday as I was getting out of the shower I saw them and raced to the pond wearing only my towel! Each time one exited the water it was nailed by 12 gauge 00 buckshot. 4 dead otters = fewer disappearing fish. Glad the trees are tall and thick or it would have been a show for the nighbors! Now it is the raccoons. AAAUUUGGHHHH!!
Constant vigil standing guard over my "boys." Out of over 1000 bluegill, redear, catfish and bass I'm down to less than 50 fish. But there are littl 'uns in the shallows who come for Fish Chow and some bass about 8" I've seen and some new stock on the way.
I don't mind sharing, but only if they will share with me and not TAKE THEM ALL!
Larry

A fellow from the same mold. Let's hear it for buckshot!!!
My sharing the fish in my pond with the local wildlife policy is this: If there is any chance that said 'wildlife' will taste good deep fried or with ketchup it better be wearing kevlar or be quicker then 1500fps.
