Iwas wondering where I could get some fish for my pond here in southern Ohio. I know about Jones fish hatchery, but they are 150 miles away. I would love it if anyone had a list of all the suppliers in Ohio. Thank you.

There is also http://www.remlingerfishfarm.com/ in Kalida and http://fendersfishhatchery.com/ in Baltic (which I think is closest to McConnelsville). I have no personal experience with either (all my fish came from Jones') but we have had some favorable comments here about Fender's.

Issac - try this link at the bottom. You should call those growers that may interest you. Some of them have permits to sell fish in Ohio for various reasons and my not have what fish you want when you want them. Many of these are small scale operations. The largest hatcheries usually have fish available all year whereas most others are very seasonal. There are only a few larger hatchery operations in OH. Fender's is the largest private hatchery with the most species and widest range of sizes available in OH. http://www.dnr.ohio.gov/wildlife/Fishing/propagate/faffp.htm

Fenders are great to deal with. 1st class operation. I just got back from there today and only lost a few fatheads. Mr. Fender is great to talk to and is very willing to share all his knowledge about ponds and fish stocking. One of his daughters helped me today and you can tell that she has learned the business well. You can't go wrong with Fenders.
