Actually, Bruce and TJ are here fishing with me and teaching me how to post photos. Here's another 15"+ fish caught by Bruce.

Yep that's Bruce all right. Million dollar smile, and the patented Condello Photographic Technique.

I'm totally and completely jealous.

Nice to see TJ as well, putting names to faces.

Oh and great fish as well.

We fished and drank beer yesterday afternoon. We caught a nice stringer of big bluegills and crappie. Got up this morning and learned how to post photos, talked about fish and various ideas, and they just hit the road to head back to Lincoln. We had a great time and laughed a lot. It was good to blow off some steam and get back to the simpler things in life.

JHAP, you're welcome here anytime. I'm only 45 minutes from the KC airport, and I have access to lots of fishing holes. The pond we fished yesterday is about 35 acres, private, and full of nice fish.

Bruce was actually targetting lmb and was throwing a Zoom Horny Toad when he caught his crappie. I was using my standard 1/32 jig head with a red and white tube when I caught mine. TJ landed a 13" crappie on a spinner bait. We caught several bass and then went light tackle to fill the cooler with bluegill.

Getting back to your (fish) fighting weight, Bruce? Looks like you've taken off a few pounds, all the better to make fish look bigger by comparison.

Beautiful crappie Shawn. I would love for mine to get that big. Mine are 18 months old and the biggest so far is 11-1/4".

It's a green sunfish disguised as a white crappie - very clever ruse by the GSA.

I'll bet the GSA has sleeper agents and moles in every pond in the country. \:o

The fish I'm holding was 15 1/4". A detailed genetic analysis using the polymerase chain reaction to amplify specific genes only known to occur within crappie yielded some interesting results. The fish was evidently more closely related to Lepomis cyanellus and a California-based accountant than it was to other crappie. More study is definitely warranted, but it is certain that something unusual is occurring. At this point, we don't know who the accountant is, but I'm hopeful a friend of mine with strong NSA/CIA connections can identify the individual. It's got me stumped, although I feel the answer is right in front of me.

It sure is a crappie result.

You know, knowing your accountant might be crappie.

Looks like a GSA in the woodpile.

Seriously, can you tell us about the pond? Size, when stocked, forage, etc. You know what I mean.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

The GSA are everywhere. Trust no one. Feed your LMB steroids (but don't let the GSF get any or then we'll really be in trouble).

Jeff/Shawn

If you ever DO head out to visit Shawn, please give me a shout out - I would not want to miss a chance to meet any of you and it's just down the road. Shawn is a great host, has a beautiful family, and truly has a very cool operation going. It's a wonder to witness his creative genius at work - his brain doing sumersaults as he tries to relate a flurry of innovations the private water manager will soon come to know they cannot live without. My Christmas list is already down the page with all the goodies Banks will soon be providing lucky guys like ourselves.

Oh yeah, and any of you city boys, don't forget join him for a midnight "snipe" hunt - just remember not to volunteer as the "blocker"...thankfully it was a clear and starry night and I navigated the five miles back to Shawn's place just about daybreak and in time for eggs, juice and toast. Doesn't get any better than that.

It's common knowledge all accountants are crappie.

Thanks for taking Bruce fishing, Shawn. I had been worrying about him, but now all seems right again in the world.

That's it. I've had it. I'm tired of the abuse. I'm tired of the accusations, the doctored photos, the slander. I'm done. I quit. I've had fun posting on Pond Boss, but you've all gone too far, pushed me to the limit. This is my goodbye. I'm quitting Pond Boss for good.

Besides, do you know how many GSF raising CPAs there must be in Califoria.
