Took the kids to the pond on Father's Day evening. Was able to get a voracious YP and HSB feeding and everyone caught 3 fish - first time the entire family has ever gone fishing...successfully, that is. One gets so consumed with projects on the land that they forget sometimes about the impetus to even break ground: To create a family place to relax and enjoy our natural surroundings. Although the wipers aren't large [9-12"], they've grown 5" since they were stocked in September 08. I'm looking forward to many more family evenings now that the ponds are nearly full...thanks from my family to all for helping us get here. Way to go TJ, life time memories being produced.
The first photo is worthy of a Pond Boss cover IMHO.

thanks guys...I will relate that to Amy, she's pretty adept with my cheap Sony "fishing/land" digital camera. I wish we could have had some more feeding "ripples" for the sunset shot, but we don't control things like that...

Great photos, TJ!! One of these times through NE, I'll need to see your place! Anytime you're close to Lincoln I expect a shout out - we can grab Bruce and do a tour of both places - been a while since you were at his ponds I think.
