i just built a little pond in alpine texas for my parents. Im trying to find an alum source somewhere in west texas. I live in Lubbock, TX. I also travel to San antonio on a regular basis. anybody have any idea where i can get some? Ive googled and googled but no luck and ill call places and i just get a "huh, whats that?"

Are there are any Estes Chemical distribution centers in the west or panhandle areas of Texas? They handle Alum..du

thanks for the suggestion. i looked and they estes does have a location in lubbock. I just emailed a representative and hopefully he'll get back with me.

Our company buys it from BWI. I believe their Dallas office covers your area and they can ship it to a feed store close to you. Here's a link to their site:

i talked to estes here in lubbock and was told they only deal with big customers. i then asked who a "big" customer was and told me a place that doesnt even carry the stuff. i talked to estes in lewisville and its $33 for a 50lb bag. ill see where else i can get and ill call the bwi place.

I purchased 2000# in 50# sacks from Eastland Farm & Ranch in 2008. The cost was $18.81 per bag. Their phone # is 254-629-2173. I use to buy from Estes, but they have become very difficult to deal with.
