I finished a new 1-1/2 acre pond last fall and it filled very quickly this spring because it has a very large wetland watershed. So, I decided to start my fish stocking plan by introducing golden shiner fry in early May. They went in OK and all looked good. Most have grown to about 1/2 to 3/4 inch in just five weeks.

Here is the problem. A monster suspended Brown Algae bloom occurred this last week following a large rain and I don't see a single minnow. I don't see that this type of Algae is toxic, but where did they go? Any one have any thoughts on this?
