... inside a 12 lbs, 9 oz Channel Cat.
She had sure been eating good on something. She looked to have near a pound of eggs in her.

I'm guessing she didn't go back to continue her feeding binge?

That's a nice sized channel, Theo.
Any pics?

About an inch and a half worth of nightcrawler (forgot to take my stinkbait with me). I've stopped measuring mouthgapes, burger. I found that if you sex your CC by measuring their gapes up to about 24" in body length, you can easily tell by sight afterwards. I confirmed by finding eggs, but just by looking at her, she was screaming "Ava Gardner" not "Gregory Peck". No pics, David. The cats are probably on the bottom of my interest list - I want a picture of the first 6" YP I catch a lot more.

So the only thing you have caught so far has been the CC? Keep us updated Theo. From what I have read here it seems like the YP should be a little more tolerant of low DO in cold temps. Or would it be the opposite since the YP are more active in the cold?

Caught thus far 2009:
Old pond: 1 CC, 1 BG, 15-20 LMB New Pond: 2 RES (YP & SMB just small fingerlings)
P.S. CC was delicious, Fish Wife's usual excellent job.
