Yet another topic about how big the bass might be. My buddy, "Big John" goes about 6' 5". He caught this bass last weekend on a small blue and chrome, square-bill crank bait. I estimated that she weighed close to 7 lbs. He caught one the weekend before that was every bit a bigger fish, probably three pounds bigger if I had to guess. I will try to post a picture of his other bass when I can get it off his phone. Lucky Dude.

What do y'all think?

I couldn't argue with 7lbs. but lets see what everyone else thinks.

Was this your pond?

Sorry, yes this was my lake there just outside of Huntsville. You can not get a good perspective of the size of the lake from this photo, but it's about 16 acres...little more when at full pull. We are experiencing a bad drought right now and the lake is way down.

Another picture with a coke can.

I definitely would agree with the 7 lb plus mark... With all those eggs in her, she is a fat one! Nice bass no doubt.

Three things come to mind:

1. Very, very nice bass.

2. Big John looks like he could be DIED's brother.

3. Interesting feeding method of giving your bass Coke, the sugar and caffeine gets them all jacked up, they eat more forage, they get much bigger much faster. Hmmm, wonder what Red Bull would do.

Is it just me or does the fish look skinny and pregnant at the same time?

Very nice fish anyway...wish it was in my pond.
