MY BG quit feeding a couple of weeks ago. The CC were still coming.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

My Bg here in Central California are still feeding. As long as they continue to eat I should continue to feed them right?

Yes . If fish feeding slows then reduce the amount of feed put out. If reduced feeding is due to cold temps then try feeding at the warmest time of day.

DIL reports active fish feeding Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon when temps hit hi 60's.
She's a sweetheart to "hand" feed three locations on warm afternoons - actually hit the "test" button on timers until feeding slows.

Saves a lot of feed this way and hope to avoid excess nutrient build-up as in past winters when feedrs were left on with minimum stettings..

George I think that having the weather forcast with the current water temps would be a great idea!

FWIW- It was 24 Sat morning and the Tilapia in the small BG pond are floaters. The larger pond showed no signs yet. Estimate still has some 8-10' water. BG pond is half that. This is 50 mi. south of San Antonio.

James, periodic visiits to ponds on warm days wouldn't be of much help.

What do you see and think ?

Does this help ?

So much for the fish not eating. On 2 lakes the fish stopped feeding on pellets 3 weeks ago. On this lake the CNBG are still feeding even in cold muddy water with snow melt. Go figure ?

I am still feeding but I have cut back. I feed a little over two bags a week. Using two feeders on a pond of about 2 acres. The fish continue to eat good. The bass do not eat the food, only bream amd cat fish.
