ANYONE drinking cranberry juice ... (shudder) ... is asking for trouble.

Someone recently talked me into drinking cranberry juice for a heart ailment. Since I like it, I drank a big ole glass of it. 30 minutes later, it felt like my head was floating and my feet had disappeared. There was a lot of consternation around the Adkins household until I found out it is known to accelerate the beta blocker medicine I'm taking.

Good evidence Tom that you should stick to drinking beer and only from cold sealed bottles

That's great Tom! I am with Jersey, any more info and pics you can offer would be great. I would like to see results though, after about 6-9 months of good record keeping data. I am a skeptic normally (my conservative way) however, I always have an open mind with new techniques and technology to give it a chance to succeed and be reported back on pass or fail, its how we keep moving forward.

In 1991, I purchased a car manufactured by this new Korean automaker, Kia Motors. It was their first vehicle into the US auto market. It was rebadged and sold as the Ford Festiva. It was a strippo; not even a radio. I purchased it for commuting to central Illinois (Lake Shelbyville) where we kept a boat at the marina. It got 46 mpg on the hiway. It cost $4600. I have always wondered why...why...why can't they bring that car back?

Brettski,

The US needs to get on the stick and allow the auto makers to bring in some modern small Diesels. A Corolla or Civic sized car should be able to get near 50mpg with a stick shift, and near 45mpg with an automatic. If you're currently getting 25mpg on $4 gas, it's like gas going down to $2 a gallon.

Last year smart car advertised that they had a deseil(sp) version that would get 60mps. Though I also read someplace that california would not allow small deseil(sp) engines to be sold here. Sorry but like much of the internet I off this without evidence. 8-) Just something Iremember reading.

** UPDATE; she be comin' **
The 115-hp, 1.6-liter engine, for example, is good for 120 mph, 0 to 62 mph in 9.9 seconds and about 40 mpg. That's quicker than a Toyota Prius and not far off its fuel economy

America already has a car like this. I know I own one. The 2005 HX Civic(lean burn engine)was factory rated at 44 mpg highway. That is probably with a 150 LB person driving down hill at 50 mph and a wind blowing at there back. But in truth it gets a solid 40 mpg with my oversize self driving 70 to 75 mph. Be sides that it was one of the few small cars I could fit in when I went shopping for a econo work car. I drive 120 miles a day round trip & Honda makes a very reliable product. And to top all that it's resale value has skyrocketed sense the price of gas hit 4$.
