been thinking about it, but havent tried it yet?
Now is the time of year to find those big round above ground pools on clearance!

Mr. Lusk has one in his front yard, maybe its time for a new experiment?

Well I just got off the phone with Bob Lusk and talked to him about doing an experiment with a 8' x 30" intex pool. I wish I could have a bigger one but I am just a broke college student. I will be studying coppernose bluegill, but i do not know what I will be testing. I am open for any suggestions. This experiment will last until the end of December, for i will be moving to College Station to go to school at Texas A&M. I would also like to hear feedback from anyone who may have done this before.

L-cubed, it will be nice to hear how you do. Take lots of before, during, and after pics.

Would it be exposed to predators? I have mink & otters that would shred most materials quick to get to the buffet.

It could make good sense for a grow out pond for fry, in any case.

Would there be a continuous-flow water supply? Or are you thinking some kind of filter? There was a thread around here somewhere about bog filters for smallish container ponds.

Are you set on using bluegill for the experiment? I would leave those types of small fish experiments for the Dentist and his cronies and skip to something cooler like a large feed trained bass experiment. You could use various size bluegills as bait!
