Here are some cool pics from our VIP dock!

We do not allow anyone to fish from or near the dock and feed the fish a variety of items to keep them hanging out in the vicinity. We keep fatheads, shiners, and small bluegill in the cages to feed the fish.

That is absolutely, positively one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

The clarity of the water is nothing short of spectacular.

What a show!

Wow...how long did it take for the fish to basically feed out of your hand?

That's a NEAT setup!

...speaking of which
Please tune me up on your construction details:

  • The cages look to be made of 1-1/2" PVC cubes with plastic mesh zip tied to the cube...right?
  • The only thing supporting the cages is the extended decking boards....?
  • If yes, the cages are thru-bolted to the extended deck boards....right?
  • How big are the cages?

Doesnt take long at all to get fish coming to food. The key is to not fish there.

We cut the tails off of small bluegill and cut the larger bluegill into pieces.

1-1/4 pvc cubes 4'x4'x4' ziptied and snapclamped with aquanet from jacissel.com
The cages are fastened to the extended deckboards and also with a 2x4 going down into the water to lock them into place.

That yellow perch is kinda skinny. You better feed him/her some more.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

If I had been there yesterday after baling hay, you would have had to drag me out of that water to keep me from swimming. That looks gorgeous. And cool.

Excuses, excuses!

Of course I am only kidding you. The perch may be an old male or it's simply a female without the eggs. That same fish with eggs might look like it had an eating disorder by April it will be so packed with eggs.

Swimming is definitely the main event of the lake!
The water slide is 85 feet long and cost less than $1000 (plastice and waterpump and sandbags)
The rope swing is an old crane.
