That pond is really making life worth living to some young people! Keep up the good work! On the other hand does anyone know how many ponds there are in this country that are off limits to swimming or fishing due to liability concerns? When we were kids that wasn't a concern. Now due to overzealous lawyers it is. (Eric excluded of course.)
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Very nice place you've got there Nate. How does one become a VIP member at your place?
Cecil,
Both my ponds are open to the kids in the neighborhood as long as they are accompanied by me or a responsible adult. Very few do fish however.

I guess I still don't understand what you guys really do for a living. Work like crazy fixing up lakes and taking people fishing! Then we play harder than we work! We rest only at night!!

...a couple already look PS'd. Great shots!....but....they could be better, eh?
I have no photoshop capabilities. The photos are for real. They were taken by my aunt who is a photographer. momentscapturedbyrachel.com Will get you some better photos eventually, those were taken from the 4th of July weekend. We had over 150 people out to the lake that weekend. The weekend before was high school girls camp with over 250 girls and the weekend before that was high school boys camp with over 175 guys.

Very nice place you've got there Nate. How does one become a VIP member at your place? Volunteer at a camp during the summer, or be a senior citizen, or a an underprivileged child. The only alternative would be to book a 4 hour guided fishing trip. $350 includes everything!

Really enjoy your posts and especially the pictures.

Nate that's just awesome. I think you've already done everything on my wish list.
How about some details on your water slide? I was dreaming of something very similar. I have a 90' slope that drops about 10' to the pond from my back patio. Do you think it would have adequate slope for appropriate velocity? Was the plastic anything special? Does water just trickle down from the top or did you use a soaker hose?

jacissel.com is where I purchase the aquanet from. I dont recall the price, but it was a great deal! The waterslide plastic is 80" wide by 100' long. It was leftover from a local trucking company. They use it to line semi's. Ryan, We have about 25' of fall for the 85' slide and we use a 2" trash pump to pump water. 10' would be fine if you could get a running start to gain momentum. Cheyenne, We cant get the HSB to eat by hand. Smallmouth are by far the easiest and most curious fish.
