Great job, Buckeye Willy.
Super nice finish out on the inside of the cabin. How long did this project take, from start to finish?
Nothing better than sitting on the front porch catching BG.

That's awesome. Love the picture of the "boss" and her fish. That's what it's all about!

Veeery nice. Right down to the his n' hers rod holders and tackle drawers. Nothing like watching the Buckeyes, throw out a coupla lines between quarters; get serious at half time. Fish fry to celebrate a victory.

The only thing I didn't see was a tapper, that place is awesome!

Brettski, we pointed the ends of the posts, climbed an 8 foot step ladder and used a sledge hammer for 3 days driving them into the pond bottom. How deep did I get with them - not sure. Will I have problems down the road - maybe, but I'll deal with it then. :-)
Gary, I have been working on it since the first of June. Actually started some of the digging and dirt removal in April. Working evenings and weekends and will confess to being a little burnt out right now. Need to sart enjoying it now!!
Burgermiester, right on man. You think just like me. The Buckeyes are struggling this year but no better place to watch them then back at the pond.

BuckeyeWilly, I love it. Looks like the perfect pond cabin.
Do you have running water? Have you figured out how to deal with wastewater yet?

Buckeyewilly,
That porch is priceless. I don't really need a cabin, but I badly need that porch!

BuckeyeWilly, Neat, neat, neat! Did you make the lamp? If not, where did you find it? I'd sure like to have one in our cabin. I'm now wishing I wouldn't have thrown out a really old Coleman with a rusted out bottom. Thanks for sharing. Ken

Cat, wish I could take credit for the lamp but actually they came from Cabelas.
Ryan, heres the water set up. We have a spring that sits about 100 feet above the cabin and pond. I took the Kubota and dug a ditch from the spring to a plastic tote right above the cabin. Used 1-1/4" black poly pipe and it filled the tote up in no time. Have a pipe from the tote to underneath the cabin to a 12 volt pump. It gives us good pressure in the sink. I dug another ditch around the pond to a 500 gallon septic tank for the waste water from the sink.
No facilities in the cabin. I built an outhouse when we started the pond project. Have a porta potty in the cabin to save on late night visits to the outhouse. She insisted on this one.
We are not drinking the water from the spring. Just for clean up and washing hands etc.
Should mention that our power comes from 6000 watt generator. Just too costly to run electric that far. Sure appreciate all the comments guys!!

Oh sure post beautiful photos of the inside of the cabin. It wasn't enough that you drove me insane (I know, I know, it wasn't a long drive) with the photos of the outside of your place but then BAM you post inside photos. I am going to start a petition to get you banned from this site Buckeye. I can't stand the pressure. Something's gotta give. You're place is just too beautiful.
Ok I feel better now after venting. Jeez, what a great looking place.

Jeez now I see the garden tractor in the background. That's it you're banned. Banned I tell you. Done. Gone. Finito. By the powers vested in me by the State of Denial I declare you Banished.
Oh but before you go what kind of paneling did you use on the wall?

Jeff, pine paneling from Lowes. Sorry you want to ban me. I'll try to be good. Wife and I went back tonite after work. Cool evening here in Ohio and the leaves are just starting to turn. Fishing was off tonite but its such a beautiful setting right next to the woods we didn't care.

I'm feeling better today Buckeye so I'll let you stay. Well that plus I have no real power here anyway. I even applied for a janitor position and they turned me down. Dang your place is nice. You did a great job BW, a great job. Fishing was off tonite but its such a beautiful setting right next to the woods we didn't care. That's what I'm talking about.
