Just for clarification, do you mean "fatheads" (minnows) or "flatheads" (catfish)?

Welcome to the PB Forum . At your location FH can go in now. No flathead cats though. Assuming you can get med sized then add 8 lbs now and 5 more when you put in the CNBG in May. Don't add LMB until the fall or late summer.
Table 1. Units for various species of baitfish and non-fish baits.
Fish 8.0 pound/gal.
Bait Size ------ Number ------- Number
(inches) / ------ Gallon / ---- Pound
Fathead Minnow
(Pimephales promelas)
small (1.5) ----- 5920 ------ 740
medium (2.0) ----- 2400 ------- 300
large (2.5) ------ 1200 -------- 150

bigred601, I'm almost at the FL - GA line and my FH recently spawned. Maybe if you stocked some real quick you could also have a spring spawn. Mine are still showing spawning behavior.

I ADDED 8 POUNDS OF FATHEAD MINNOWS TO MY NEW POND. DO I NEED TO FEED THEM? AND IF SO WHAT DO I FEED THEM?

How new is it? That would give an indication of how well established the bottom end of the foodchain would be.
We had a thread here 1-2 weeks ago discussing feeding new FHM. I tried a quick search for it this A.M. but was unsuccessful; I or someone else should be able to come up with a link shortly. If you decide to feed, any 32% or so floating fish feed should be sufficifent to supplement what the minnows can find in the pond.
