I think about you fairly often, Cecil, as the Chi-town weather guy ALWAYS reminds us of the lake effect snow that is pounding northern Indiana. I believe that you are a bit too far east to truly receive the brunt of lake effect...or do you?

I believe that you are a bit too far east to truly receive the brunt of lake effect...or do you? Yes we're technically out of the snow belt but occasionally if the wind direction is right, the temps right, and the intensity of the wind right we get nailed too. I remember getting 10 inches of lake effect snow once. I see LaPort, Indiana got 5.2 inches of lake effect snow in two hours yesterday in one snow band. That had to be putting it down! Here's a shot of the house as the wife was leaving the driveway the other day. We have more snow now and more coming. I actually like snow and winter as long as I'm not sick like I am now!
