BTW...it was near 60 F last Sunday, and while some of my fellow ice fishers spent the day risking rotten ice for BG and crappies, I decided to hit the Mississippi for walleyes.

I spent from 11 AM until 3:30 PM on the water wearing bibs, a sweatshirt and life jacket...no gloves and just a ball cap. Couldn't get anyone to go, but it was a fantastic day.

2 other boats, and I caught about 30 eyes and saugers. I lost half again as many, and had about twice as many honest bites. Kept a fine limit of 1.5-2 lb saugers, a baked 'em up that night.

Couldn't fish the ponds, but it was a perfect day all the same.

In a lifetime, the average driver will honk 15,250 times. My wife figures I'm due to die any day now...
