Work's gotten REALLY hectic since we were acquired by a huge international organization. Been travelling non-stop since September, it seems. Managed two days home (one day- freezing rain, though) so I managed one day of deer hunting between trips. Finally got a bit of "down" time in the office and thought I'd check back in.

Been through most forums, and it seems thing have been a bit slow.

Any great mysteries been solved or big events taken place lately?

My ponds are both frozen to 5"...VERY early for this kind of cold. In the last 5-7 years, never could ice fish before New Year's Day, but I've been out a couple time this past weekend. 3 inches of snow on top of that and ice/sleet for tonight. Looking like a long, dark, cold winter...kind of like when I was a kid.

Ooo, ooo, dibs on guessing which one!

1. UNICEF
2. Major League Baseball
3. S.P.E.C.T.R.E.
4. The Descendants of Benito Mussolini

Welcome back, Matt. Things have been rather slow; the forum has been [nay, WAS, we're all better now (fingers crossed)] horked up for a couple of months. Other than the live volcano that erupted in the middle of Brettski's pond, and the resulting discussion on it's merits as structure, that's probably been the biggest event (or "non-event", since it kept so much else from happening) while you were busy.

Hey Matt, did the work schedule interfere with deer season? If so, my condolences.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Matt, not to worry. Half of heybud's YOY bluegill are already gone, so you only have to send half of 13224433355566677788665544
cards out. That should save you a lot of postage.

Actually, travels have indeed interferred with...well, about everything, including deer season. Managed 2.5 hours in the stand, which, I guess was enough, as I have yet to turn her into jerky. Christmas week should work for that.

Fixin' to catch hell now, as my next (scheduled, as of now) trip is to Brazil for 2 weeks...starting 2 days before wifey's B-day. Belgium, followed by Mexico, then back to US plants. Cash's good, but I really detest travel anymore.

Anyway...it seems I've missed some stuff, but eventually, I'll catch up. Need to spend more time on this site while I'm in hotel rooms...plenty of those nights, anyway.
