I have a customer looking for stocker-trout (8"+ ?) to stock in a Houston area pond. Any ideas for sourcing the trout would be appreciated.

Last winter I purchaced rainbow trout from Total Lake Management, their phone# is 979-279-2946. Paul Dorsett is a real nice guy, full of knowledge about lake managementand fish. He delivered 100 8 inch rainbows to my lake outside Brenham. I had wonderfull time fly fishing all winter long, not to mention great trout dinners. \:D I plan to restock again this winter, maby your client and I can share a load of trout.

On a second note-- is it to late to spot treat weeds and algae or would it be better to wait untill spring?

Don - aquatic treatments this late in the season are a questionable proposition. I'll offer a non-specific answer: "It depends".
WHAT is the specie? HOW BAD is it? WHAT is the objective? Is it a situation that cooler temperatures and shorter daylight hours will naturally abate within a few more weeks? Etc. etc.
I need more info in order to answer the question more appropriately. Since you're in Bellaire, give me a call if desired. Busi Ph:(713) 464-3391
Regards,
Kelly

PS: Thanks for the trout-stocking suggestion. I know Paul very well and had already emailed him with the same question - was awaiting his reply.
